Interested in jewelry making but don't know where to begin? This workshop is a great introduction to the basic tools and materials needed for working with wire. We will focus on simple techniques to permanently (and securely) capture cabochons and irregularly shaped stones to create pendants. An alternative to the more traditional bezels that require a torch, this method of framing your found object is also a great primer in understanding the concept of how a bezel works. No experience necessary. Bring your own stones for discussion and possible use. Don't forget reading or non-tinted safety glasses.
