Kumihimo is a Japanese braiding technique for making cording. It is easy to learn, relaxing, and be warned.... it can be addictive! It is very flexible - you can use thin cord, heavy yarns, silk ribbons, or even leather. Although fiber will be provided, you can bring your own. You will learn how to incorporate a focal bead, create simple patterns, and finish the ends (you will need to buy end caps or cones, and a clasp, based on the materials you use).
